It's All a Wash!

Toward the beginning of October my Mom, Dad, Grandma, and my Grandma's dog, Koda, came down to visit. It was such nice weather, that we decided to go to the Buckhorn Wash! Here are some pictures we took:
I love this mischievous little girl! Just look at her smile! I wonder what she was about to do with those rocks!!!
She really wanted me to take a picture of her sitting in this tree!
My Benson boy
Some of my favorite people!
Rock art
Some more rock art...
This is a spot in the rock where Indians ground a special indigenous plant.

My Dad and Ben on top of the arch.
My Grandma and her dog Koda! The are best buddies and so we had Grandma bring her down to Price to visit us at our house. Koda was pretty good!
My Dad, Ben and Julia inside the arch.
This is a picture of a tree that is named the survivor tree! It is growing in the middle of a cave! There is no soil for it! When Ben was running Summer therapy groups he would take groups of teenage boys that have had a rough life to see the this tree. They talk about how incredible it is that this has grown up with no nourishing soil around it's base to help it grow. He then compares it to their lives, and how they too have not had that nourishing soil!
Ben, Benson and the base of aforementioned "Survivor Tree".
Here is a shot of the tree that really shows how amazing it is that there is no soil for it to grow in!
Words really can not express how neat this tree is!
Some of the beautiful scenery.

School is Finally Here!

So, my school post is finally here! I am starting to become more caught up! Here are the first day of school pictures for all of my kids! They are all in some type of school this year. I can't believe it! Time sure flies by to quickly. I also have a shocking picture down toward the bottom of the post, and so look out for that!Benson's first day as a first grader!
Julia on her first day of school ever!!! It is a long hard road, but well worth it sweetheart!!
Benson and Julia together on Julia's first day of school. Benson had already been going to school for a week when this picture was taken. They test the Kindergartners the first week of school.
I had to provide a picture of Cecilia for her preschool Welcome Board. This is the picture I took the day before preschool.
I took this of Cecilia right before I took her to preschool.
Shortly after school started we walked into the girls room and this is what Julia found on Cecilia's bed!!! I was pretty freaky!
Julia's class had a back to school Teddy Bear Picnic Parade. Here is a picture that I took of her class afterward! She is on the left hand side, and in the middle row.

Part Three!

This is part three of my catch up from all of the Summer activities! These pictures were taken in August:

At the beginning of August the kids and I went up to visit family up North, while Ben stayed home to work. He just started a new job in June, and so he did not have much time off to go on trips this Summer.

We went to the park with our cousins on this day:

Johnny playing with the girls!

We went loaded up with Grandpa when he had a day off to go on a trip. Our plans were to go to the Minnetonka Cave up by Bear Lake and then to play at the lake afterward.
The kids were all so excited to go on an adventure with Grandpa and Mom!
Julia and Grandpa at a spring on the drive up to the lake.
Grandpa and CC.
Cecilia is looking at Bear Lake.
Grandpa and the kiddos making a sand castle!
This was too precious!! I had to post it! It looks like they are holding hands, but they really are not!
Cecilia hanging out on the beach at Bear Lake under the umbrella!
By the time we got to the cave the tickets were all sold out, and so we ended up playing at the Lake all afternoon! It was so fun!

Benson and Hudson, he is one of my best friends little boys, sliding down the slide together! This is the giant water slide that their Grandmas bought together!
Julia sliding down the slide!
Liz, the girls and I were sitting outside watching Courtney and Benson play ring toss in the front yard of my Mom and Dad's house on a lovely Sunday afternoon!
It was pretty funny to see how competitive these two guys were!
Liz and Courtney starting to open presents at their baby shower! It was jungle themed, and they were given a lot of nice things! She is now four days overdue! Hopefully he will get here soon!
Time to roast hot dogs in Gramdma and Grandpa Blau's backyard.
Cecilia having a ride on the tire swing! I used to ride on this same swing when I was little!

We decided a week later to try and see Minnetonka Cave again , which is near Bear Lake, with my Dad. My Mom and Grandma drove up with us, but decided to enjoy the scenery outside the cave. The steps can be a little steep. Ben was home working, and so it was so nice to have my Dad there to help with Cecilia!
Here we are waiting for out tour to start!
Julia giving me a grin!
Grandpa was a lifesaver! He carried Cecilia whenever the steps were to steep for her!
These three formations are called The Three Sisters!
My kids all loved the cave!
Some of the formations in this picture are called the seven dwarfs.

So, I am going to date myself a little bit! Here are a few pictures that I took at my 10 year High School Reunion:

The next two pictures were taken at the playgroup field day:
Benson waiting for his turn to race!
Cecilia running in a race!

One day in August I set up the slip n slide for the kids, and then I had a surprise!

I think Cecilia was going down the slip n slide the wrong way!
The surprise was that Ben came running out of the house in his suit too!

The kids had a great time jumping on the trampoline with Daddy!

Just before school started we went up to Clinton and hung out with all of Ben's family. These pictures are ones that I took while we were at the Dinosaur Park in Ogden:
Benson, Stephen, Cecilia, Julia and Stephen's friend Damien all getting ready to go through the park.
Nate and his cute Mommy!
The kids loved playing at the park at the dinosaur park.
Johnny is climbing on a new baby dinosaur that is cracking out of its egg.
Benson climbed up a tower and then slid down the slide! Pretty exciting!
My nephew Johnny, Cecilia and Julia found this cool little hole in a rock!
The girls both wanted a picture with this dinosaur because of the color! My girls are such girly girls!
Boys are silly sometimes! Ben and Stephen thought it would be funny to see if Ben could carry Stephen on his shoulders.
Cecilia wanted a picture with this dinosaur because it was "little". She likes "little" things because she is "little".
Julia has a pet dinosaur!
Benson is the boy who is asking, "How did the dinos get so big?"
Cecilia is the girl who replies, "By eating dinoburgers!"
Ben and Stephen were having a contest to see who could push the other person off of the dinosaur skull! I am not sure who won!
Julia is inside a dinosaur skull.
Benson and Ben posing in front of some strange dinosaur figurine!
My Nephew Nate! What a cutie! He is riding a giant lizard thing!
Benson was watching the animated dinosaur figures. They were pretty neat.
