At the beginning of August the kids and I went up to visit family up North, while Ben stayed home to work. He just started a new job in June, and so he did not have much time off to go on trips this Summer.
We went to the park with our cousins on this day:
We went loaded up with Grandpa when he had a day off to go on a trip. Our plans were to go to the Minnetonka Cave up by Bear Lake and then to play at the lake afterward.
This was too precious!! I had to post it! It looks like they are holding hands, but they really are not!
Cecilia hanging out on the beach at Bear Lake under the umbrella!
By the time we got to the cave the tickets were all sold out, and so we ended up playing at the Lake all afternoon! It was so fun!

Benson and Hudson, he is one of my best friends little boys, sliding down the slide together! This is the giant water slide that their Grandmas bought together!
Liz, the girls and I were sitting outside watching Courtney and Benson play ring toss in the front yard of my Mom and Dad's house on a lovely Sunday afternoon!
Liz and Courtney starting to open presents at their baby shower! It was jungle themed, and they were given a lot of nice things! She is now four days overdue! Hopefully he will get here soon!
We decided a week later to try and see Minnetonka Cave again , which is near Bear Lake, with my Dad. My Mom and Grandma drove up with us, but decided to enjoy the scenery outside the cave. The steps can be a little steep. Ben was home working, and so it was so nice to have my Dad there to help with Cecilia!
So, I am going to date myself a little bit! Here are a few pictures that I took at my 10 year High School Reunion:
The next two pictures were taken at the playgroup field day:
One day in August I set up the slip n slide for the kids, and then I had a surprise!
Just before school started we went up to Clinton and hung out with all of Ben's family. These pictures are ones that I took while we were at the Dinosaur Park in Ogden:
Benson, Stephen, Cecilia, Julia and Stephen's friend Damien all getting ready to go through the park.
The girls both wanted a picture with this dinosaur because of the color! My girls are such girly girls!
Boys are silly sometimes! Ben and Stephen thought it would be funny to see if Ben could carry Stephen on his shoulders.
Cecilia wanted a picture with this dinosaur because it was "little". She likes "little" things because she is "little".
Benson is the boy who is asking, "How did the dinos get so big?"
Cecilia is the girl who replies, "By eating dinoburgers!"
Ben and Stephen were having a contest to see who could push the other person off of the dinosaur skull! I am not sure who won!Cecilia is the girl who replies, "By eating dinoburgers!"

It seriously looks like you guys had an awesome summer! All three months! How fun to do a mini trip with grandpa. That's funny about Ben coming out and doing the slip n slide. He's a good dad. I can't believe Liz hasn't had her baby yet, hopefully he will come soon! I like your pictures of the cave. I was just thinking that would be something Hudson would like, but it's probably too late to go this year. Maybe next year. The dinosaur park looks fun too. You always plan such fun activities for your family! If I ever need to think of fun things to do with my family, I am just going to look at your blog!
You guys r go-getters for sure!!! Looks like u all had a blast! I just have to tell u too that you guys seriously have some of the cutest kiddos EVER!!!! Julia is such a sweetie in church!
